Getting Started

What is Cinemoto?

Cinemoto is a screening journal for movies. Plan before you watch, capture snapshots during the film, and write a post-watch summary — then keep everything organized in your Library.

Do I need an account?

No. Your screening records stay on this device. No sign-in is required.

How do I plan a screening?

From Library, start “Plan a Screening” and follow the guided steps: venue, title, watch mode, schedule, focus, and an optional pre-watch note.

Watching & Notes

How does the watch timer work?

When you start watching, Cinemoto runs a timeline based on the title’s runtime. You can pause, save snapshots with notes, and finish when you’re done. You’ll get a wrap-up cue if runtime is reached.

Where are my notes stored?

Pre-watch notes, snapshots, and summaries are stored locally on your device. Deleting a screening removes that record.

Why can’t I find a movie title?

Online search uses TMDb metadata. If a title isn’t listed or search isn’t available, choose manual entry and type the title and runtime yourself. You can later relink metadata from the screening detail when available.

TMDb disclaimer & attribution

Cinemoto uses the TMDb (The Movie Database) API to load title details, posters, ratings, and synopses. Cinemoto uses the TMDb API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDb. All movie-related metadata and images are the property of their respective owners. TMDb website
